I went into the Boston Children's Museum today to do some shopping.

See, the Children's Museum has this thing called "Recycle!" where you can get a shopping bag full of junk suitable for use in craft projects for $6.30. You pick the junk you like. It includes paper, and ribbons, fabric, Styrofoam, cardboard, foam rubber, and all sorts of stuff. And just other random stuff. Like, a barrel full of CDs of SimCity 2000: you could, if you wanted to, get a shopping bag full of SimCity 2000 CDs for $6.30.

Anyway, I had a meeting with my boss at the Hebrew School where he suggested that I should be doing more arts&crafts stuff, so I went there, looking for things that would make good Tzedakah boxes. I didn't find anything too useful for that, but I did find some dandy things for mezzuzahs. And a bunch of shiny things. . . lots of shiny things. . .

I started talking to the woman behind the counter, who's going to be competing in Miss Goth Massachuetts tonight, mainly because they said they'd let her bring her band up for a set for the talent portion. Her name's Lauri, and she looked REAL familiar to me, and I looked familiar to her. But we couldn't quite manage to figure out if we actually know each other.
