The indignities that flesh is heir to
So, I got to be present for a first for the tigercub. I was babysitting the Joshlet today, and I was feeding him.
He has a cold, by the way. Nothing serious, but it's there.
So, yeah. I was feeding him. And he sneezed. And milk came out his nose.
So I turned him face-down quickly on my lap to help the milk drain out of his sinuses, and he calmed down pretty quickly. But I suspect it was somewhat traumatic for him, since, up until that moment, he had no idea that milk COULD come out one's nose and sting and all that.
I am pretty sure that a lot of what upset him was fear, more than the discomfort, though. Talking later to
tigerbright, she confirmed that, to the best of his knowledge, this WAS the first time that milk had come out of his nose.
And besides, the second time it happened, five minutes later, he was much less upset. . .
