Everyone has already posted anything I would have thought to say. I've never known this issue to have a solution, it's one that I've always considered a deal maker or breaker in a relationship since there's not really a compromise point--you're either having kids or you're not. I think the people suggesting marriage counseling are on the right track; I would say that if you go that route don't be afraid to try several counselors if necessary to find a really good one who seems to have a clue and to understand you both. I have heard that the quality of couples counseling varies really widely, so it's worth shopping around if the first one you go to doesn't seem useful.
