And... for the record... saying I can use anything you post publically does not reassure me...
The panel I thought I was on was about Flame Wars (why they happen and how to prevent them). One of the posts I wanted to use was your post about ginmar, commenting on her confusion of privacy with copyright.
I think this is a much wider problem... the social protocols for email / electronic communication are neither precisely public nor precisely private. They are in fact not clear... so people give offense without intending to. And, I can't assume that all your (apparently) public post actually fall under that protocol.
To be fair, I don't think you would get upset about it - at least not once you've formally given permission. But I think Lis might, and I can't afford to irritate her.
