My BESTEST Valentines/birthday present.

So, my wedding ring's been Too Small for a LONG time. And I lost it for a while (like, a couple years) before I found it again in the back of a drawer (I don't clean stuff often enough -- I only found it in the drawer because the cat knocked over the nightstand and spilled all the stuff in the drawer off the floor).

It was too small to fit on my finger, so I was wearing it on a chain, but a couple months ago, my fingers were smaller in the cold, dry weather, so I was able to put it on again. At which point my finger swelled, and, after most of a day of struggling with it, I finally went to the ER to have it cut off. Emergency rooms have a specific tool for cutting rings off.

Anyway, I had the broken ring in my drawer for a while, until, on Valentine's Day, after Erica and Aaron's wedding, Lis took me to a jeweler's to have the ring resized and fixed.

I just got it back today, and am comfortably wearing my wedding ring on my finger for the first time in, oh, I dunno, five years or so? (Lis was hoping to get it back in time for my birthday, but they could only get it done by the 22nd, rather than the 20th. So that's what we did.)

So, yay!
