This morning, I went to the gym, then we listened to "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me," then we went to the diner, where Lis did a Very Bad Thing, by showing Paul and Jarret, the grill cooks, http://www.jimspancakes.com/ I saw them looking at her phone, then the pancake batter, then the grill, then her phone . . . Lis is a very bad influence on those boys. But, to be fair, they're bad influences on us, too.

Yes, the grill cooks are geeks at our diner. And the waitress invited us to come to her robotics team competition in March.

Have I mentioned how much I love our diner? Anyway, in the evening, Lis and I went out for sushi, then went to [livejournal.com profile] temima's house for a couple hours. In the kitchen, someone was reciting "Printer's Error" by PG Wodehouse, which I'd never heard before. I followed up with "The Cremation of Sam McGee," with which another gentleman helped, so we recited it together, which was a lot of fun. The gentleman and his son recited a few more, most of which I'd not heard, and we just generally had a great time. And we talked to other friends, and we went home around ten, ten-thirty.

Our local Classic Rock station, WZLX, has been playing their "1100 Best Classic Rock Songs" over the past couple days, so we have been listening to them finish off the list -- they'll soon play their pick for #1. But, as we were listening, we played with the cats, which meant that I was watching Nicky jump around after the feather toy, while "Crazy Train" and "Sweet Emotion" played. Which worked really surprisingly well, actually. And we drank some ice cider, and now it's five minutes to midnight, and their pick for the top song is "Kashmir" by Led Zepplin.

And now we're going to bed!
