A note to DC Comics
Jun. 22nd, 2011 08:03 pmDC Comics is on record as saying that, basically, while they're AWARE that there are other demographics out there than the 18-to-34-white-male demographic, that's the only one they'll be targeting, and more or less ignoring fans of color, women, Gen-Xers, teenagers, kids, and so forth.
Hey, DC Comics? You know what nearly 90% of 18-to-34-year-old white males like? Hobbies they can share with their girlfriend(s) and/or wife, actual or potential. The other, oh, 10% or so would like hobbies that they can share with their boyfriend(s) and/or husband, and you're not targeting THEM well, either. (Plus people who'd like to share their hobbies with boyfriends and/or girlfriends, and friends who aren't specifically gendered, and all the other groups that I'm leaving out here.)
