One million giraffes.
Jun. 13th, 2010 09:24 pmThere's this guy in Norway who bet his buddy a case of beer that he could collect pictures of a million giraffes before January 1 of 2011.
I drew two for him -- you can see them here.
The rules are that you have to make the giraffe images yourself, and they can't be photos of real giraffes, and you can't use a computer to help create the giraffe. You can, and have to, use a computer to send him a photo or a scan or whatever of the picture or pictures, of course. But, other than that, no computer-generated or computer-assisted giraffes, or photos of real, living giraffes. And you have to make them yourself.
Other than that, though, any other medium is fair. Crayon, chalk, knitting, cake decoration, pancake shapes, sculpture, whatever. Certainly, quality doesn't matter.
If you want to draw a hundred little tiny giraffes, and send them to him, then he gets a hundred giraffes closer to a million. If you want to knit one giraffe and take a photo, he gets one closer.
You should all help him out. There's a case of beer at stake. At my last check, he only had 848,867 giraffes, so he still needs another 151,133, and he's only got two hundred days. With your help, he can do it!
