A good person has died.
May. 13th, 2010 07:28 amI just heard that Marian, the owner and matriarch of the Buttery, a household in Dorchester, died. She had an appointment with a hospice nurse this morning, but died last night.
I didn't know her well enough to truly count her as a friend, but she was definitely in the category of acquaintances I really like. I assume that, as the day goes on, and this news gets out, a whole lot of eulogies will be written, because that's the kind of woman she was: the kind who positively affects a lot of people. Among other things, she was a SCAdian, researcher, gardener, baker, basket maker, craftswoman, and generally cool person.
