So, I'm babysitting the tigerwolf cub today, and he's now sleeping comfortably in his crib as I type this.

Last night, [livejournal.com profile] jehanna came by to sleep over, as she's got a job interview today. And she was reading, and I was reading, and Lis was logged in, and we were all three of us sitting on the bed, just, y'know, not doing anything in particular except reading, and the cat came up on the bed and curled up among us.

And, well, that's the right thing to do on a cold winter night. Have a whole bunch of friends, of the two and four legged variety, just all sit together, reading, or knitting, or computing, or whatever, in the warmest room of the house.

So, I got to be present for a first for the tigercub. I was babysitting the Joshlet today, and I was feeding him.

He has a cold, by the way. Nothing serious, but it's there.

So, yeah. I was feeding him. And he sneezed. And milk came out his nose.

So I turned him face-down quickly on my lap to help the milk drain out of his sinuses, and he calmed down pretty quickly. But I suspect it was somewhat traumatic for him, since, up until that moment, he had no idea that milk COULD come out one's nose and sting and all that.

I am pretty sure that a lot of what upset him was fear, more than the discomfort, though. Talking later to [livejournal.com profile] tigerbright, she confirmed that, to the best of his knowledge, this WAS the first time that milk had come out of his nose.

And besides, the second time it happened, five minutes later, he was much less upset. . .
