Am hungry. Have cleaned out corner of basement to put boxes in. Went to Home Depot to find sweeping compound. They don't sell it. Bought pushbroom and dust mask, swept out basement without sweeping compound. Am thinking and writing in sentence fragments.
Pronoun not necessary, can determine correct pronoun from verb form. True in Latin, Hebrew, why not English?
Going to go to all-you-can-eat buffet in Malden. Bringing Doctor Thorne, third of Anthony Trollope's "Barsetshire Novels". Finished Barchester Towers last night. Absolutely no surprises in the ending -- Elanor married the character who she obviously was going to marry as soon as that character was introduced. That's not a weakness in the novel, though.
I especially liked the bit where Trollope goes off for a couple pages on how much he hates coming to the end of a novel, because he has to fit in all the tying-up-loose-ends bits, and if his editor would just allow him ONE MORE VOLUME, it would make things a lot easier. From the two books I've read so far, I'd say that the attractions of Trollope are 1) the fact that I generally LIKE his characters, and enjoy spending time with them, and 2) he occasionally goes nuts and complains, or at least comments upon, writing novels, and it's hysterical.
When I come back from lunch, I'll start stacking boxes in the basement, which will allow me to FINALLY get the Pesach dishes away (they're in boxes, but the boxes are in the kitchen), which will allow me to FINALLY clean the kitchen.
