How dumb is the downstairs cat?

Persephone found a dead beetle on our floor.

And attempted to eat it.

And failed.

She would attempt to eat it, and it would slide around, so she'd whack it with her paw, and it would go skittering off, and spook the heck out of her.

Yes, Sephie was outsmarted by a dead beetle.

I think she may have taken the dumb cat sweeps from Arthur, who was once defeated in combat by an orange Starburst candy.
