... you know, I think I actually have a copy of that. Or rather, I think my roommate has a copy of it, and I wrote it off as another of her atrocious vampire novels and ignored it. (I pretty much abhor the whole genre, with the sole exception, to date, of Christopher Moore's Bloodsucking Fiends: a Love Story, which is more accurately a comedy with some vampires in it.) See, this is why prejudice is bad. Thank you for the other recommendations too; I'm taking them very thoroughly under advisement.
