Mitt Romney does not want people to judge him based on his record as governor. The press has mostly decided to go along with that. OK, fine.

Mitt Romney also does not want people to judge him based on his religion. I'm fine with that, not being part of the religious mainstream myself. The press seems to be going along with that.

He doesn't want people to judge him based on his personality or his history, because his teen years of bullying other kids and his more recent years of bullying his dog (family trip stuck on the roof?) shouldn't be judged, nor should his silver spoon drawer that holds all of his silver spoons. A Republican asking people not to judge him on his history or personality is novel. Amazingly, the press is going along with that somewhat.

Now that his record as a businessman is proving troublesome, he doesn't want people to judge him based on his business record. If the press mostly goes along with that too, all he'll have left to run on will be the issues.

Having read his issues page, I think I can safely say congratulations to President Obama for winning his re-election bid.
