In short, DC did a test-run of their voting system, and white-hat hackers were invited to test it.

The degree to which the system failed, and what the white-hats did is absolutely HYSTERICAL.

Also, terrifying. I'd also point out what's missing in that report: the slightest hint that the DC election commission did anything to make their voting more secure.
