THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG
Lis and I saw the new Disney movie this afternoon.
It's a good thing that Lis LIKES being married to someone so sappy that he cries at Disney movies.
Okay, the following comment is a big spoiler, so don't read if you're planning on seeing the movie soon.
I felt that the movie missed one big opportunity. Larry should have played "The Saints" at Ray's funeral. Okay, I can understand non-New-Orleans audiences not getting why the jazz-playing crocodile would be playing a happy, upbeat song at the funeral of his friend the firefly -- but after he became a star and appeared next to Evangaline, and everybody was overjoyed at realizing that he'd achieved his dream, there was no reason NOT to play it. And it's TRADITIONAL to play "When the Saints Go Marching In" at New Orleans jazz funerals.
