You know, I've been thinking about what the narrative arc of the Tishrei holidays looks like. I think this is our third or fourth year with the Sukkah, and we love it, even though its too frickin' cold in MN to enjoy it properly.
We had 9 and an infant in our succah this year, including to visitors from Israel. We were talking about customs and she said to me "we use real fruit in ours in Israel." And I said "יש לנו הרבה סנאים והם אוכלים את הפרות" her husband was then off like a shot with his camera exploring our yard, because Squirrels are only seen in zoos in Israel.
