How long would homemade grenadine last? Do you have to keep it refrigerated?

Also, I'm thinking maybe I'll make maraschino cherries this year if I go cherry picking again. Mmmm.

I still have about 4 cups of frozen sour cherries in my freezer :) Lately I've been using frozen sweet cherries as my garnish for drinks. Fantastic! Keeps your drink cold, and gives a nice cherry flavor towards the end without being overhwelming. Also: yum for frozen cherries :) They are cherries I picked last summer. Soooo good.
