My wife now has library cards for the British Library and the Library of Congress. Given that she gets her superpowers from libraries, this may be dangerous.

For the record, she also has cards for the Minuteman network of Massachusetts libraries, the NOBLE (North of Boston Library Exchange) network of libraries, the Boston Public Library and their associated network, and some university libraries. Unfortunately, our Athanaeum Library membership expired, and we haven't re-upped it.

I wonder if the Vatican Library issues library cards. . . .

Dude, you should *so* pitch that at Marvel or DC. Or draw it yourself and put it on the web. I'd be *so* into a librarian as a superhero.

I think we're safe as long as none of the libraries are radioactive...and she doesn't speak Latin in front of the books.

aren't the Library of Congress and British Library non-circulating?

Hee. Sexy. I've only got...let's see...NOBLE, WMARS (western Mass), the BPL, UMass-Amherst(/5colleges) and the LOC. Plus my no-longer-active GWU card. Incidentally, did you know that the LOC card can be used as federally-issued photo ID for boarding planes? Kinda cool.

That is So Very Cool. And I think a Lis with Increased Superpowers is in fact a fine thing.

My mother has always been proud of the fact that she has more library cards than credit cards. I actually managed it for a while, but I need to get back there again.
