How marvellous.

At my wedding to carandol, lo these many years ago, the band were friends of ours and played for free. They were a jazz band, incidentally, and terrific. We put out a jar for them on the bar, and our guests knew they were playing for free -- in fact I think we put a label on the jar saying so. Anyway, they told me afterwards they got more than twice as much as they normally earned from a wedding. I think what this means is that "our kind of people" are generous kind of people.
