Back home now

Well, it would have been nice to be at chanaleh and Justin's wedding, but Lis's cousin was getting married the same day. As it turned out, we spent a wedding with a wonderful group of people, too, so I can't be too upset.

The short version:

• Lis's cousin managed to find an amazing spouse.
  
• Who has an equally amazing family.
  
• Who is a professional event planner who worked with the Superbowl for many years and has contacts in the hotel and event business.
  
• Who pulled in favors to get an AMAZING deal with a resort hotel to get us rates low enough that we could all go to a wedding at a resort hotel.
  
• Resort hotels are kinda awesome.
  
• Resort hotels in the Sonoma desert of Arizona are awesome.
  
• The Sonoma desert of Arizona has a lot of really cool flora and fauna.
  
• Many examples of which live on the grounds of the resort.
  
• An outdoor black tie wedding in Arizona in August SEEMS like a bad idea, but, if you can manage perfect weather like that, and make it so that it's not so hot that black tie is even uncomfortable, it can work.
  
• Jdate actually worked to find Lis's cousin a spouse who is a mensch, smart, kind, successful, decent, and attractive, and has a family of similar qualifications.
